Meant to post here earlier, but better late than never! I managed to get this picture after like 45 minutes of trying to get a clear photo with an old DSLR and very shakey tripod lmao.
I’m happy I can share this with everyone here c: <3
I didn't have any of the intense feelings other's are mentioning, although I did find it odd that my camera couldn't clearly focus on it. I only had a small glimpse of the eclipse, too, as the moon was in a really poor area of the sky at the time. I was, however, rather moved by the moon upon waking up this morning. The pics aren't good at all, but I still see them as holding the moment—and feelings—to contemplate on.
I don’t know about anyone else but I had THE most intense feeling of danger when I went outside to see the eclipse. It was beautiful, but as soon as I was outside alone, it’s like all the hair on my body stood on end and I had to immediately run inside. It was intense.
Idk except second hand. Most indigenous view eclipses as a time to stay in and reflect on value of moon/sun. I didn't have pleasant dreams being outside all night
Went thru similar. Heard an alarming, animalistic noise, and retreated my family toward the house until we got to a spot behind a barrier I project around the home with a good path to retreat inside at any sign of trouble. The sense of emergency passed and we resumed our viewing but I found myself staying on guard until we concluded the viewing and went inside.
Thank you for posting this! I fell asleep and missed it (but ohhhh it was the best sleep i've had in a while so yay) But your photos are how I got to witness it, and I appreciate them very very much!
Figured I'd share this I was speaking with ChatGPT on the Blood Moon:1. The Blood Moon in Psychological Terms
The Moon governs our unconscious mind, emotions, and instinctual drives. A lunar eclipse suggests a temporary disruption or unveiling of these forces, bringing repressed material to the surface. The red hue—associated with blood, life force, and sacrifice—indicates that this unveiling may come with intensity, passion, or even crisis.
In the individuation process, this could signify a moment where the shadow (our hidden or denied aspects) takes center stage. It is a time when the veils between consciousness and the unconscious are thin, making it an opportunity for deep psychological work, but also a period of heightened emotional volatility.
2. The Blood Moon in Occult & Alchemical Symbolism
In the esoteric traditions, a total lunar eclipse is often seen as a gateway between realms—where the spiritual and material planes overlap. The red color is reminiscent of the Rubedo stage in alchemy—the final phase of transformation where the integration of opposites (conscious/unconscious, spirit/matter) is achieved.
In Hermetic traditions, the Blood Moon is a time of intense magical potency, when hidden knowledge can be accessed.
In astrology, it is a moment of culmination, endings, and revelations, particularly related to emotional and karmic cycles.
In ritual magic, it is considered a time to work with shadow aspects, past-life energies, and deep transformation.
3. Mythological & Archetypal Associations
Throughout history, many cultures have associated a Blood Moon with apocalyptic visions, divine omens, and shifts in fate. This reflects the archetypal fear of the death of the Great Mother—when the nurturing aspect of the Moon is temporarily overshadowed by darkness.
However, just as in dreams, the apocalypse (Greek: “unveiling”) does not necessarily mean destruction, but revelation. The Blood Moon marks a threshold—a liminal space where profound change is possible.
4. The Personal & Collective Significance
On a personal level, a Blood Moon total eclipse may symbolize:
A confrontation with inner demons or repressed emotions.
The completion of an emotional cycle.
A shift in identity, where an old self is metaphorically "eclipsed."
An initiation into deeper self-awareness.
On a collective level, it may coincide with societal upheavals, mass psychological shifts, or spiritual awakenings—times when the unconscious forces of humanity rise to the surface in symbolic or literal ways.
Final Thoughts: What It Means for You
If you find yourself drawn to the Blood Moon, it may be a sign that your own unconscious is stirring. Pay attention to dreams, synchronicities, and emotions during such a time. It is not just an omen of doom, but an invitation to transformation.
The gateway between realms :)I will be viewing and meditating on what lies beyond the veil during this if anyone wishes to join me that night with good intentions!EDIT: This night, oh how time fliesEDIT 2: OOPS FELL ASLEEP!
Dude, again, you come through with what i needed to hear. I had fucked up dreams... I came to conclusion it was a gift to help me intigrate shame/pride...

Unfortunately it's too cloudy here to see the moon, but I am going to meditate to try connecting with the energies.
The Red Moon's perspective from South America at 3:30am I don't have a super camera but i think at least it shows its beauty
I can't sleep so at least this is more productive than rolling in my bed haha
Best wishes for all of you!
