All right, so, I feel like quite a few people may have had burst bubbles, at the following information reveal: "Channeling poses tremendous dangers of many kinds, including misinterpretation (because the information must pass through the person) from lack of education, bias, favoritism, uncontrolled imagination, mental, physical, and emotional discipline, along with egoism, obsession with mysticism, spiritualism, religion, or extreme conformity to one's culture, heritage, background, upbringing, and beliefs.
The person may also be hijacked by a being much more powerful. Even for benevolent beings trying to impart messages, this exchange may be too much for the person to handle, especially if they haven't trained for decades to handle such contacts. Distortions are easy to produce as a result.
Channeling is not a reliable source of information as a consequence and can be prone to many half-truths. While one can pick apart the diamonds and sift the sands for precious gems, the reality is that channeling often intermixes with the person's own beliefs, customs, biases, aims, and intentions.
Channeling isn't telepathy. While there may be some parts that overlap, channeling isn't telepathy. Channeling is allowing a being, entity, or thing (including other humans) to override one's consciousness. Picture it as using a remote desktop. If the remote user is connecting to the local desktop and the computer itself is faulty, then the messages being imparted will be faulty as well."
"But, but, I have gotten so much cool and useful information from channeling!"
Or,
"Someone guided me to do it and I had a bad experience, surely all mystically inclined people are bad!"
Listen, like most "black and white" interpretations on issues, the truth lies somewhere in the middle, in a "grey area" (ha! We live in a "grey area!")
Both things can be true, to a degree. Many of us have experienced extremely wonderful, amazing insights to the truth from channeling. We built narratives based on this information that helped us, at the times it was relevant to our experience.
Yet, there are also very misguided people out there, who will intentionally or unintentionally, prey on the curious, or the naive, or the untrained in psionic protection, and this can lead to a very bad channeled experience.
If the contacts are the stewards and guardians of this world, since they created and maintain it, then we are much like children being left alone for the very first time when we delve into these possibilities.

I found this comic today, and we will refer to it as an example of what I am getting at.
A reasonable person may conclude, from the context clues available in the comic, Anubis is advising the children,
"Hold on! Listen to the fire detector in case of a fire, do not drink this bottle from under the sink with poison in it, and DO NOT answer the telephone saying you are home alone. Bye! Be sure to lock the door!"
Ok, that seems reasonable enough, but what if the children, in all their mischievous intentions, interpret the message like: "He said drink poison, take the batteries out of the smoke detector, make crank calls, and leave the front door wide open."
Or what if Anubis is actually saying that? Who can be sure? Except someone who really understands hieroglyphics and can discern all these context clues.
I mean, let us take this one step further. Given all we know about the contacts, is this even "Anubis?" Maybe the kids just got an intro to Egyptian mythology, and they are perceiving a non human entity as one of those figures.
Great speculations, it hardly matters because the children took away, "Did you get any of that?" "Not a f_cking word."
And truly, this may be for the best. Everything this "Anubis" guy might be saying one way or the other, can probably be concluded with enough discernment and common sense.
This comic resonated with me because, I have had channeling experiences I can accept I likely did not understand correctly, or that endangered me. In particular, I do believe one of those experiences was attempting to sensibly advise, like Anubis in the comic, "DO NOT PICK UP THE ETHERIC PHONELINE FOR JUST ANYONE!"
And what did I do at times? Interpreted that as "Oh ok I should use the etheric phone line and both make calls/let others call me."
Or maybe, at some points in time, took some kind of "truth" from the experiences that was wildly colored by my own experiences and biases.
I will offer the following two quotes:
"The Mystic must swim in waters that the one in psychosis drowns in."
"I like to think of honing discernment in these matters like swimming in the ocean. It's important to wade in the shallows and learn some safety before going for a swim. The first time I actually went out into the ocean swimming was a lot more difficult than I first expected. And being from a land locked area, I had a lot to learn with regard to waves, currents, etc."
Be safe, be well, and use discernment in all matters. Also, check your fire alarm batteries now and then.
I love this post and that comic is absolutely hilarious. Thanks V!
I feel like this was needed to bring some semblance of discernment. Like i dont doubt someone might be in contact with an entity or whatever but it's hard to trust what messages are getring mixed up in the filter. Ty for real 👍
