I was considering making a specific thread, for a specific web cartoon I love, and then I really thought about it.
Art is that which paints the reality before it often becomes real, right? That must be why so many of us love, in particular, Animation.
"Animation is a filmmaking technique whereby still images are manipulated to create moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film. Animation has been recognized as an artistic medium, specifically within the entertainment industry. Many animations are either traditional animations or computer animations made with computer-generated imagery (CGI). Stop motion animation, in particular claymation, has continued to exist alongside these other forms.
Animation is contrasted with live action, although the two do not exist in isolation. Many moviemakers have produced films that are a hybrid of the two. As CGI increasingly approximates photographic imagery, filmmakers can easily composite 3D animations into their film rather than using practical effects for showy visual effects (VFX)."
It is for myself a great passion. I find appreciation in animation, always. I have my favorites, and I will even watch not so favorites, just to see the Art, just to feel the Narrative.
I have always considered myself, as an artist, a Cartoonist for this reason. I believe that lately, I am even being called to create, and animate things myself. It will take some time and learning.
So! Rambling aside. I concluded it would be best if we have a topic where anyone can toss out this kind of fiction, no matter how obscure, and comment on it if they wish.
First, some guidelines (READ BEFORE POSTING):
If the media is NSFW or potentially triggering in some way, (i.e. gore or other sensitive topics) please do take care to state this, or mark it as NSFW.
In addition, if the media is particularly sensitive, do place it in a "Spoiler" so that it is covered up at first.
As well, if the media is particularly controversial, or hateful, please do not share it. If there is a piece of media you have an issue with in this sense, please report it to staff for review.
As a general guideline to the above, If you have to ask yourself, "would this cause a shitshow if I'm not careful?" then it may be for the best to share it privately. A good example of this might be the show, "South Park," a show that is frequently controversial and causes heated discussion. Not saying it is a "bad" show, just that controversy is something it tends to elicit. So take care to mark your NSFW or controversy under spoilers, or have Discretion.
BE RESPECTFUL! Do not make the moderators have to come in here and break up silly fights.
As to the above, do not publicly mock peoples tastes, or to phrase it another way, "yuck" others "yum." We all have different tastes.
All right, I think that should about cover it. Staff can let me know if rephrasing or what not is necessary.
To the meat of what I wanted to share today:
I am in love with this show from Tiktok, Chikn Nuggit

Synopsis: The series follows a long-eared, yellow dog named Chikn Nuggit and his fast food-named animal friends getting into their sweet and sometimes spooky and surreal comedic adventures and antics he and his friends get into.
Can you guess my favorite characters? Oh, I think some in the audience will guess this one...
EDIT: Adding a content warning even though this is relatively tame to demonstrate how it's done.
CONTENT WARNING: Some suggestive content, mild body horror, mild dark themes
BEHOLD, FWENCH FWY AND I SCREAM! (Man, I do love dipping my fries in Frosties...)
I identify with that adorable little Wish Dragon so much. My human avatar even resembles them, in that they are THICC as heck. Do I have an I Scream? Well, I am still finding that out!
All right Gang, now that I got that out of my system. HAVE FUN! GO NUTS! Share with us all what makes your heart sing, in cartoon form!

It is time to get very anime on this topic.
CONTENT WARNING: Sexuality, Suggestive content, Weird psychedelic visuals, aliens that call human genitals "bananas" for some reason no matter what, violence, dude losing his nuts, how do I even condense these? NEEDLESS TO SAY, ADULT CONTENT WITHIN.
Do you like "oh fuck, they are stupid but they are IN LOVE?" Dynamics? Do you appreciate deeper, resonating truths of paranormal experience? Do you look back on your adolescent life sometimes, as a millennial weaboo, and think, "What the HELL was any of this, in some ways, my life feels like an anime, but in the most ironic way possible?"
You would probably appreciate Dandadan!
What started as a manga produced by Yukinobu Tatsu, became an anime series available on Netflix. Shall we get into a synopsis?
Momo Ayase is a high school girl who believes in ghosts but not aliens, while her fellow highschooler, Ken Takakura, whom Momo nicknames "Okarun", believes in aliens but not ghosts. In a bet to determine who is correct, the two decide to separately visit locations associated with both the extraterrestrial and the occult—Momo visiting the former, and Okarun the latter. Momo is abducted by a group of aliens who accidentally unblock her chakras, enabling latent psychic abilities. Meanwhile, Okarun is possessed by a spirit who takes over his body. By using Momo's abilities and Okarun's possessed form, they defeat the aliens together.
The rest of the story follows the two, as they team up with fellow students, friends, family, and new acquaintances to fight spirits and aliens; the overarching plot themes include retrieval of Okarun's penis and testicles (kintama) and the development of romantic feelings between Momo and Okarun.
I was not kidding around, the plot gets pretty wild. That being said, as a weirdo mystic with dyed red hair, I resonated with Momo Ayase.
I highly recommend this anime, and welcome any clips or thoughts of anyone below this comment.
