It just makes me think how powerful our minds are, and how we percieve the world around us. Maybe it sparks some.deeper thoughts in people. Idk. Maybe it sparks something in someone regarding "higher levels of perception"? The tongue is essentially responding to simulated sensory info to create a reality?
Best well folks :)
Wow thanks for explaining that more. More interesting than the article really. That is some food for thought for sure. Makes me think about how we attach emotion to sensory information too. Do you create much visual art or musc?
Interesting; reminds me of synesthesia in a way! I've always wondered if synesthesia has any particular significance in reality, as experiencing the world through crossed or 'new' forms of sensing is very lovely.
For example, it seems the more I meditate and work on the Self, bringing myself to a state of non-duality, the more I start to percieve the world in new ways and feel my senses blend together into a 'oneness.'
Though, I only at first noticed color-grapheme synesthesia during childhood, I've found I also possess audio-tactile synesthesia, chromesthesia, and some type of sight-induced synesthesia that is hard to describe.
